Early Rise for Grey Day

Checked the AccuWeather forecast; scattered cloud.
Checked sunrise time; 0756.
Decided to take Mini 2 out to film local church at dawn.
Went to bed early (for me); 0015.
Set alarm; 0700.
Got up; 0705.
Made coffee; nice.
Went outside; Solid thick grey cloud :rage:.

Moral of the story, never believe weather forecasts!

To be fair Clear Outside seemed to have it spot on but AccuWeather still showed scattered cloud. Still I did enjoy the coffee and I did have some luck with the weather yesterday.

Same here. Btw, have you tried ‘Windy’? Has some handy features.

Hi, yes it’s a great site and app, useful for wind aloft. I don’t find it so hot on the forecasting though, imo Clear Outside is best in that regard.

I dunno - as much as I’m in agreement with that statement, they do seem to get totally pants weather more accurate.
