Walking around Rickmansworth Aquadrome a couple of days ago my wife and I had some luck in spotting and taking our first photograph of this bird.

Down by me at present are an unnumbered amount of Brent Geese on their migration from Siberia. Certainly a sight to behold when they return every evening to their nesting ground on the salt marches.

Down at Chichester harbour, the Brents have started their return migration to the sub-arctic areas of Europe and Canada, where they breed - depending on their sub-species..

There’s still a few returning to the marshes around Calshot at present. Not as as many as there has been but I’m sure they will all vanish shortly.
