Yeah, it’s a bluetooth device to connect to the ipad.
Gives better GPS than normal and was cheaper to get the ipad without cellular and the garmin glo than it was to buy the ipad with cellular.
I use a non cellular iPad 4 mini and just use My phone as a personal hotspot.
