Forth Crossing

Travelling back to Glasgow from Dunfermline at lunchtime stopped to recce TOaL for @Drumsagard who’s planning to go get it in the sunset this evening. Is this what you meant by HDR the shit out of it @milkmanchris?

Found this on local Facebook:

Nice pic Gavin and thanks for the info on TOAL. Sunset didn’t happen tonight so need to try again, if you fancy a jaunt.

How big’s your tad @milkmanchris ? This enough?

How about you @Drumsagard & @macspite ?

With the proviso that I am working on your HDR’d image and not the original and that I’m working on the upstairs PC which doesn’t have a calibrated monitor this is my take on it - curve adjustment for shadows, dodge shadows, less blue in the highlights and midtones, gradient layer to darken sky, unsharp mask:

Your original HDR:

Your updated HDR:

I prefer more natural effects

Yep I like more natural too
but I’m being led into photoshop places I didn’t use before so it’s all good
thanks

You omitted “over-saturated”.

Not at all Dave. All Hayling sunsets are like that

It’s getting there Gavin, I’d also crop it to aid composition, take the horizon off the centre of the frame (think rule of thirds).
