Took my Mini2 out for a flight earlier. I’ll post the results in a bit.
I’m going through my A2 CofC course and one of the modules talks about flying in low temperatures and how frost can form on the edges of the rotor blades, even when it isn’t freezing.
Well, it was zero (or slightly below) today when I was flying, and low and behold, when I landed the Mini2 there was ice on the edge of all the blades. Normally I take these sorts of warnings with a pinch of salt, but it was really interesting to see this happen with my own eyes.
Thankfully I wasn’t in the air too long (mainly because my fingers were frozen!).
