Full time drone work 2025?

With this in mind, I’m going to add a little on top of everything that has been said before about how difficult it is to make a living from drones. And it’s this… money isn’t everything.

Once you get on the capitalist treadmill it’s very difficult to get back off again. What I mean by that is that when you start earning a wage you adjust your lifestyle around it, and the more you earn, the more you spend. So when I said “I don’t think I’d have been able to pay my bills”, those would be the bills I’m used to paying with the salary my day job pays me.

Don’t try and do this because you think it will make you your fortune. It won’t. 100% guaranteed, it will not. And you’ll be miserable trying.

But if you’re truly passionate about flying drones and it brings you joy just to be in the air, then there are definitely worse ways to spend your days.

With anything you want to make a decent living from, you have to be good.
No point touting for work with no portfolio of you work. Now catch 22, how to fet the portfolio.
Get out get the footage. Get it edited and get it into the ether on socials etc. But also try and focus what you want to specialise in. If venues is the type of thing you want to do. Then have a look at what the katest “fly throughs” are like, most now are utilising FPV drones. As such this may be something else you need to consider in your thought process.
Which ever route you are planning i can guarantee there are 100 people behind and 100 in front with the same idea.
