My second entry today. I’m chuffed to have been able to get these because between family commitments and crappy weather I haven’t been able to get out much in the last week.

There is a barge, but it’s not in the lock, because someone saw fit to put a bridge there.
@Committee A quick question - I just noticed there are four people in the photo, two lads on the bench on the right and a guy and girl reading the notice up near the barge. Is that worth a bonus? (I was too busy looking for canoes )
We did ask for four or more people in four or more kayaks or canoes. Grand though your lads on the bench and the couple reading a notice are we can’t quite see them with any connection to paddle driven watercraft.

This is Marlpit Pantation, just outside Egginton, Derby. I initially chose it due to its striking appearance. It’s usually completely covered with the bright green algae, and I’m a sucker for dead trees. I wasn’t sure if that made it “interesting” though, so I set about trying to find out about it.
I found out nothing about the specific location, but I did learn that “marl” is a calcium rich, clay/soil mix that has been used, possibly since the First Century A.D., as a fertilizer in agriculture. This document is the best reference I found on the practice.
The location is within the FRZ for Derby Airfield, so I contacted them for permission to fly. I believe all the information in these emails is public domain so I have not redacted them.

Dock Ports killingholme Immigham was really disappointed there was not that many cars there a lot of vans last time I went there was Thousands of cars there blue cars are one on the right handside there are more than 100 cars here.

I submitted a frame grab from a video shot of the trucks. as I did not know how to load a video onto site.
The bonus point for the truck being loaded was not allowed as there wasnt any clear evidence that the excavator had in fact loaded the truck. I have uploded the video that clearly shows the truck being loaded.
I was basing my run on the fact that you had dropped one there - I therefore need to claim my 4 canoeists who from further evidence were on the bank with their canoes and the questions didn’t state that they had to be in their canoes at the time
)
