The challenge will run from Monday 15th June 00,01 hours until (TBA) 22,00 hours where a poll shall be put up shortly after for all GADC members to cast their votes ! everything set out below from @ORB_FPV
ok time to get a bit serious here: The OVERLORD
This one is a step up in commitment, but still very much about control over aggression.
Find a solid vertical feature or structure such as a tree, pylon, lamp post, goal frame, or any suitably dramatic point of interest. The key requirement is that it has enough clearance above and around it to safely execute a full loop.
Your task is to perform a clean power loop over the object.
RULES
- Approach with controlled speed and commitment
- Pull a smooth, continuous loop over the top of the object
- Maintain consistent throttle throughout the manoeuvre
- Aim for a round, symmetrical loop shape (no “egg loops” or half-hearted arcs)
- Exit cleanly on the same general flight line
The emphasis here is on flow and energy management, not raw speed or aggressive snaps. A good power loop should feel like the quad is being carried over the top by momentum rather than forced through it.
BONUS CHALLENGES
- Complete at least one loop with a clearly defined slow, cinematic apex
- Bonus points if your loop is so smooth it looks like it could be drawn with a compass
- Extra bonus for linking multiple power loops into a flowing sequence around different objects
- super bonus if you are very close to the item you powerloop during the whole duration!
Commit, climb, and loop it clean.
All flights carried out are the sole responsibility of the flyer as per the drone code & any permissions that maybe needed, enjoy & may the force be with you !

Thank you =)
The overlord - not overload
although a powerloop is also an overload sometimes!

I actually thought that today & was going to give it a bump .
Got the videos, but need to edit
Dear all, please find my entry here.
Definitely more of a training for me, going round and round as we all do when we try to repeat a movement to get it better.
All of this took place two week ends ago (needed spare time to edit!) and at the GC.
I am pleased with the result, close to the trees, reasonably smooth and round, close to the ground… no powerloop to the moon!
I will continue training and aim for better - look forward seeing yours ladies and gents!
(PS careful of trees, they are treacherous - they will catch your quad when you least expect it!)

This soon died on its arse
Well, it’s been slow, but I blame the heat. And now the wind…
Despite the surrounding trees, this location is still on the top of a hill and my little Baby Ape was struggling with a very stiff breeze. Well, we both were. So, here you go…
