Greetings fellow dronanouts

Totally new to drones. Awaiting the delivery of an used DJI Mini 3 Pro drone. I’ve done my CAA drone test and got the operator ID, flyer ID, and the liability insurance from the club.

Looking forward to doing aerial shots.

Not too sure what to expect really!

Cheers,
Trystan

Have fun flying, install an app called Drone Assist or Altitude Angel i think basically the same app to find no fly zones like airports, prisons etc

Have fun flying

Why when dronescene has all the info from both of them apps and more and all in one place? why bother swapping between apps to get all the same info? :man_shrugging:t2:

I don’t think either of them apps offer a circle tool to make sure you’re keeping your 50m distance or a measuring line tool to see how far away you are from a subject to help you keep line of sight or locations that have been flown before with suggested take off points and parking information. the list of benefits goes on and on.

it’s the only resource a drone pilot needs.

Thank you!

Welcome aboard @trystan
What to expect? Loads of fun, loads of frustration, and loads of banter. You’ll love it!!!

As @DeanoG60 says, the ONLY app you need to see where to fly is our very own Dronescene and it comes free with your insured membership. It has so many tools that the others dont have, plus you have access to the developers right inside here. Questions and queries will usually be answered withing minutes of you posting, no waiting for emails to fob you off. Plus, if you have an idea you can let the guys know, and if it seems a worthwhile change? They’ll implement it. Try any of that with the others and you’ll be met with silence.
