I think you may find they paid the guy who had a supposed issue a visit for wasting Police time

They don’t even have the resources to waste on that.

Sounds about Right…For this Day and Age.

Did you make him do the Funky Chicken…

Being an old man, that’s all I could I could muster up!.. Always works though!:+1:

From the impression I got at how mad he was AFTER the call he may have at least been told he was doing that in not so many words by the operator.

You still Have Balls so you are not an Old Man…Well Done :grinning:

Like you I’m older 69, I’m a big guy but I’m fit as I train and keep myself so, I’m tattooed:wink:had my chest done while still at school, and wear my hair short (extremely):+1:

I’m polite, courteous and respectful but I hope anyone who “gets in my face” is expecting to me to react otherwise a shaved, polished well aimed forehead will upset them when it makes contact at speed with their nose!

The head is a great weapon, the bullies at school and an extended Military career taught me that:+1::wink:

Fly safe stay safe:+1::wink::sunglasses:

Love it, that’s old school that mate :+1:.
The nugget in the park was a one off, I’ll bet he thinks twice about his approach next time:wink:, but then again he was a total dick, maybe not :joy:

I can’t be doing with confrontation, life’s too short, but if someone pushes their luck, well, they’ve asked for it :smirk:

I think you mean Gatwick?

If so, there were no actual drones present…

But you’re right, it’s a shame the media/ Police/ airport authorties caused such a ruckus. It didn’t do us any favours.

It’s a shame that idiots with drones caused the problems at Heathrow a few years ago as Joe Public seems to think we are all potential trouble-makers.

The local police force maintain to this day though that there were in fact drones, despite there being no verifiable evidence like a photograph or video of a drone flying.

It’s a great example of a modern day mass hysteria incident, and that police or other law enforcement aren’t immune to it either and can quickly lose objectivity in these circumstances. All the reported sightings probably fell into 3 categories: Birds, distant aircraft, and hoaxes.

I would have told him to do one the nosey git your doing nothing wrong you should have dived bombed their dog. What did police say :rofl:

Move along Karen (probably)

Yeah they didn’t turn up. Got the impression they told him in not so many words to do one on the phone - was a short phonecall so probably called three nines where they’re really not going to like someone calling because of a drone over the park.

Yes Gatwick.
We will suffer the fallout from this forever!

I doubt it, the rules (for 250g) have mellowed if anything.

From what I read the couple that were arrested and then not charged received £200.000 each compensation.
That means the Police paid for their House…Love It…Happy Ending. :joy:

£200 for having your door kicked in and held in the cells overnight is a low-ball compensation. They should have told them “Haha, no. Letter before claim.”

The compensation for something like that should at the very least have an extra zero on it.
