Yellow is fine - “fly with caution” really - tend to be potential risks to watch out for. click on the area you’re interested in and it will tell you what it is you need to be wary of. Westbury is gliding, parachute drops etc. Otherwise it could be things like sites of special scientific interest (SSSI) for things like protected plants animals etc.

The ones to strictly observe are red areas (Westbury’ is right on the cusp of Keevil and Imber military bases - fine but dont creep over the border) and blue “NOTAMs” which are temporary no no’s. Westbury right now is paragliding which is Active Now Starts: 2026-07-07 08:00 UTC • Ends: 2026-07-07 18:00 UTC"

The White horse there is a good easy flight location - windy on top a lot of the time but just check the weather app b4 venturing up there - but can get busy with visitors at weekends and school holiday and depending on your licence, you just need to be wary of flying over gangs of uninvolved people

Excellent thanks very much! I know Westbury Horse well spending a lot of time up there as a kid so hence wanting to fly it but absolutely agree it can get really busy up there so I will pick my times carefully. I’m an early bird so might get some sunrise shots  again thanks for the tips, much appreciated
