Hello from Leicestershire

New to this drone malarkey, 2days in!
Mavic Air.
Getting thru the online manual slowly in my garden… just trying out the basics. Be great to really get to use it properly.
Will be reading up lots, so there’ll be plenty of questions I’m sure.

Welcome to GADC Miles, a great bunch of lads on here with plenty of experience to answer any questions you may have. One of the Mod’s will no doubt be along soon to give you the official GADC welcome.

Welcome Miles @smileymiley

Hi Miles / @smileymiley , and welcome to GADC. :+1:

A significant number of our members also own the Mavic Air … so you are amongst good company.

If you haven’t already, take a look at the Map of Members and you’ll see there are a few other members in your neck of the woods, some of whom I’m sure will come and say Hi.

(Don’t forget to add yourself to that map :+1: How to add yourself to the Members Map )

The forum’s search functions are a very efficient way to find previous threads and posts that might already have covered topics in which you are interested in learning more or answer that niggling question but, when this doesn’t turn up what you’re after, there’s a wealth of knowledge amongst the members, so ask away over on #questions-and-answers.

Also, if you’ve not seen it, check out our map of places where members have flown in the past … which, obviously, doesn’t necessarily mean they are still OK to fly and, as always, any pilot needs to check that everything’s OK before flying at any of them.

Please also take a moment to look at the Membership Levels section on our FAQ .

Welcome aboard!

Welcome to the group :+1:

??? :grinning:

Other things in the world distracting me.

Do we know her?..

Welcome Miles to GADC, the last time i saw “Smiley Miley” was at “The Radio One Roadshow” in 1971 at Great Yarmouth seafront with Noel Edmonds, I digress !.
You are in good company here with us all, we may strike you as a bit mad at times, but, the men in white coats keep us in good order and make sure we have our Bromide before bedtime, the Nurses have a wonderful bedside manner !.
I told her that I had a"drone", it was strange cos she decided to relieve me in “other ways” !.
I told her a little later that I had a Drone not a Bone !.
But I am quite happy now after that !.
