Hi everyone! I’ve been lurking around this forum for a couple of months now but haven’t introduced myself sooner because I’ve been living in the USA. Now that I’m back in the UK I thought I’d say hello.
I’m based in North Norfolk and hope to explore the area with my Mavic Mini. Even though the Mini doesn’t have to be registered with the CAA I’ve taken the test and registered the drone anyway because I believe in doing the right thing. The Mini may fall outside the current regulations for drones but in my opinion it’s certainly not a toy.
I lived in Texas for 8 years and bought the Mini a couple of months ago in anticipation of my return to the UK. I got to fly it several times in the States, mainly in New Mexico and Colorado. In fact a good friend of mine was so impressed with the pictures I took of his ranch that he invested in a Mavic Air. Having seen what the Air is capable of I’m now thinking that I might have to consider an upgrade in the near future…

Welcome to GADC, there is quite a few of us Norfolk based members here, it’s a fantastic site full of extremely helpful members and loads of useful posts that cover most topics, feel free to add yourself to the members map and also check out the where to fly my drone section, also the little search icon top right is extremely helpful to search for previous topics .
The more you use the site the more access you get and the more you get out of it . So once again welcome and we look forward to seeing your pictures and videos all you have to do now is get out there and have fun.

In that case welcome to GADC , I’m sure you read the message to Tom so that covers most things but always nice to welcome new members, same as I said to Tom this truly is a fantastic site so don’t be shy join in and make good use of site , everyone on here are really nice helpful , friendly people and the more you interact on here the more access you get.

Hi Tom and Suzanne. I’ve only been on here for a couple of weeks and only flown my MA2 a couple of times so far. I’m based between Norwich and Acle so another Norfolk member. Lots of useful info and helpful people on here. I also joined FPVUK after reading about it in a post on here to benefit from the public liability insurance.

Love Wells and the surrounding coast. I had a great Aunt who lived in Tatterford, my family grave is still there so visit yearly, lovely part of the UK that’s still pretty much unspoilt
