Where abouts in Derby are you?
I’ve got Monsal Head on my ‘wannafly’ list. I’m heading to Carsington Water in a few weeks too, weather permitting that should be another great place to fly.

I’m in Derby, so Carsington is about 20 mins away for me. Great place to go with your drone. There is a boat club and SevenTrent view tower that should give you some great shots.
Dovedale is also a great place but can be very crowded and at Easter they place a crucifix at the top of Mount Thorpe which is on my drone shot bucket list.
I am still very new to all of this, using the camera, checking the lighting, getting the right shot are daunting, and there’s the added complication of flying the drone.
Having said that enjoying the MavicPro.
