Thanks for that Wayne… Will get myself a new ID Pilot card with updated details on too once I’ve juggled finances a bit as still off work due to my bypass operation.
Thanks again buddy.

Thanks matey, much appreciated my friend
Outstanding, what a great Club.
Sorry to nitpick but I can’t see Professional Indemnity cover with the new setup…..
That arrives with my current FPV insurance and makes sense when a client is asking for my advice on a shoot.
Sorry for the omission Rod @DISC, professional indemnity cover is included.
We will update the web site later today.
So what does this really mean in practice?
“Commercial operations limited to £15,000 turnover per year”
So, let’s say someone runs a roofing company, using the drone as part of their work, their accounts show an annual turnover of, let’s say, £90,000, then would the cover not apply?
The drone in that case is used to show prospective work to win the jobs.
Given the insurance is against you as an individual and not any business, at a guess, I would imagine it would apply to how much you earn from the job as an individual with you undertaking any drone work on a business’ behalf; that’s how I’d interpret it at least but I could be completely wrong.
I.E if you do work for Example Ltd, they’d have to contract you individually to provide that service and you would be doing so under your capacity as an individual.
Would be good to get clarification on this as this is just how I image it works.
That company would typically have their own commercial insurance from a provider such as Moonrock: Commercial Policies - Moonrock Insurance
We do not provide insurance to limited companies or other similar entities.
Our club provides PLI cover to the individual Grey Arrows Drone Club member named on the certificate we provide.
Thanks for the reply. That answers that clearly enough.
