If the ‘legacy’ drone is less than 2kg MTOM with CofC you can fly in A2 operating category during the transitional period.

The A3 operating category 2-25kg lists the residential, commercial, industrial & recreational area’s.
Indeed, WITHOUT having the CofC qualification all legacy drones between 250g - 25kg would fall into A3 catagory stating the 150m minimum

Minimum from Commercial, Industrial and Recreational areas yes.

However your original statement

Stated uninvolved people, the rule is 50m.

Yep. I’m just thinking A3 cat - far from people & the changes taking out congested areas focusing on people & the 1:1 rules but yes you’re right it’s 150m from built up areas.
