How it feels to find somewhere to fly

Been having a good look around for somewhere less than an hour away to fly my Inspire. Between no-fly zones, Council By-Laws, Royal Parks and National Trust land, going to need to expand the search…

Saw this video online, it perfectly captures the mood :joy:

Yep that just about sums it up. Just too many sad individuals that have nothing better to do than pee on someone else’s parade.

Will be interesting to see what happens this Christmas…

Drones seem like awesome Christmas presents but the fact you can’t even “legally” fly them in your garden without violating the 150m congested area rule is crazy .

The line from the video that summed it up beautifully: “they sold it so easily but didn’t tell you that there was no where to fly it”.

When/if the new rules come in drones below 250g won’t be subject to flying over 150m away from a congested area.

That depends on how many people there are.

The Royal Family are surprisingly liberal and don’t object to (legal) flights on their beaches between the tides, I’m unsure about other land they own.

With a C0 category aircraft you can’t overfly an “assembly of people”.

My main interest would be looking for broken tiles on my roof though!

Your comments would be funny if not SO true!
