Quiet day in milkman land, going though the fantastic features that DS has.

I want to fly here @SparkyFPV, have you got any other tips or advice?

Didn’t see this thread until I had flown there, just a little extra info about the waterside road car park.

Parking is right next to the raised embankment, I used the car park itself as TOAL flying a sub 250g drone as it was almost empty, if there was no-one close by you could use the footpath but it is a bit narrow.
There was a couple of people flying a bigger drone from the footpath when we arrived, didn’t think that was really allowed, especially as there were people walking their dogs up and down along the footpath.

The car park is free but also gated, a sign says it closes at 8 pm or dusk whichever one is earlier.
The benches on the top of the embankment were close with only a few stairs so I was able to get up them at the northwest corner of the car park without too much difficulty, coming down was a little more tricky but there is a hand rail that helps.
It is possible to get up there with a wheelchair at the east end of the car park though if necessary.
There are toilets next to the parking area including a disabled toilet although they were out of order when we were there.
There was also a small cafe but that was closed as well (I think it shut at 4 pm).

The weather wasn’t the best so visibility was a little poor and I was nervous about taking the drone out too far over the water in case it started to rain. Tried my hand at some time lapse filming although there was the occasional breeze that messed it up a bit. Hoping to get back out there when the weather is a bit better.

With regards to the post earlier in the thread where the police said helicopters were not even allowed, I made note of a helicopter flying quite low over the end of the bridge (and definitely not a rescue helicopter) just in case we got to fly that side, it started to rain at that point though.

Meant to say I saw the helicopter over the north end of the bridge.

Why not nip over to the Introductions page, and say hello properly and tell us a bit about yourself. :+1:t2:
