In the red zone near Middlewich

Hi I’ve just bought a mini 2. And I’ve just checked again on the nats drone assist and it looks as though I’m just in the red zone. Middlewich. Is this a problem?

Have a look on Drone Scene. Click the shaded area that is giving you concern… what does it say?

The light red zone is Class D controlled airspace which rarely extends all the way down to the surface. It is ok to fly up to your maximum permitted height.

The darker red indicates restricted airspace around Manchester Airport - you will not be allowed to dly there without special permission.

Do look at the Dronescene map - it has a real-time update on places where not to fly and, more importantly, an ever-growing database of places suitable to fly, recommended by GADC members.

Thanks guys. Good news. :ok_hand::rocket:

I always use dronescene.co.uk where you can turn unnecessary layers off. It also includes a national trust lawyer.

Autocorrect changed layer to lawyer but it’s the national trust, autocorrect must know them well :joy:
