Little buggers they are!!! I’ve encountered them a number of times when taking off at the coast. Fortunately they tend to fly at low levels.

No it was near Low Bentham

I once got stuck in a valley in my car on a frozen winters day between Low and High Bentham!

Flooding by any chance?

Ice and snow.

No traction, had to wait an hour for the sun to come over the hillside and start to melt it!

They have been the most aggresive birds I have come across by far.

Not had a problem with oyster catchers intentionally going for the drone. On Morecambe beach, they leave it for the gulls to attack.

Oyster catchers are easily spooked and i have had them fly close to the drone but en masses when a dog’s spotted them on the rocks and decided it wants to play with them.

Can I ask - has anyone lost a drone or had it clipped by a bird?

PS Being ignorant I didn’t know what an Oystercatcher looks like but I do now. Stunning bird!

You’ll find your answer here: https://greyarro.ws/search?q=Bird%20attack

I have had my MA mobbed by crows and gulls but never actually hit by them.
