Ladybower Reservoir - No Drone Flying

I travelled there for an hour and a half this morning, before most folks were awake.
Mr busybody at the fisheries place across the road came over and waved his hands at a chap that was just coming into land - my Mini 2 was on the wall waiting it’s turn.
‘You can’t fly here, it’s illegal, Severn Trent dont allow anyone to fly over their water, risk of aeroplanes etc - etc etc etc’

Chap from Leeds was was less polite than me…
We did try to explain the 250g rule, that we were only flying quite low and taking a few pics - but the worm drowner was having none of it, huffed and said 'well, if you think you know the rules better than me - etc etc ’ and buggered off back to his lair.

Needless to say I was quite surprised to see on his website an aerial photograph taken from the very spot that we were stood at.
Hahahaha
The sign is still on the gate and it was ignored completely.

He is not wrong about the low flying aircraft - a few months back a massive military Hercules cargo plane few over it and it was mega low. I had my back towards it at the time and didn’t have a time to take a photo of it.
