Too much going on for a while .. and I don’t want to get attacked by Great Bearded Throat Warbler parents protecting their offsping, either. (their twitcher protectors obviously the bigger issue. )
Google Earth (looking westerly) shows a good, paved, path (it’s a national cycle path I seem to recall?) leading up to the track level .. complete with keep left and give way scribbles on the ground (jeez! What an effing waste of tax payers money that kind of thing is! ) .. but at least that makes accessibility straightforward.
It’s a place (at ground level) I’ve intended to fly ever since I first started using Litchi .. to see just how accurate, and repeatable, a course it can create .. and have a drone slaloming the viaduct piers .. at ever increasing speed.
It’s just something I’ve never got around to.
I’ve been to look at this site this afternoon @macspite@Andre_James I think it has potential. I didn’t fly there as it was too windy today though
Plenty of open space apart from the sports pavilion that may be a bit close but you can always walk further away from it. Not sure when any clubs are there playing football or cricket etc as I couldn’t find any info on the notice board…
do you think you could set this up as a meetup using Drone Scene?
That way all the South East group will see it so you may get a few more attendees.
It is a bit daunting at first but once you have set up your meeting you will realise how easy the process is. There is a great video by @ianinlondon which takes you through the process:
(I’m hoping to keep this thread for suggestions, not arranging meetups themselves)
