Here is my attempting using ND Filter attached to the drone, to get light trails of Cars, I did this at first at peebles, but not enough cars. These where taken at the Calder Roundabout near hermiston Gate, to the West of Edinburgh.
Great shots!
What settings and ND filter did you use?
William
Hi most where shot 5-7 seconds iso between 100-400 sorry can’t be more accurate but depending on the shot light changes. I think most are under exposed, easier to get details back. Nd filter 16-32. The set I used was Never ND set from Amazon about £45 on sale. I also took photo of Murray field with Nd filter and impressed
Interesting, initial thoughts the foreground appears quite sharp, but not so much the backgroubd. Got me thinking about whether you used a small drone and whether a heavier more stable drone would yield better results. For land based light trails with camera I favour 15 -20 sec exposures during “rush hour”. Additional consideration woukd be how windy it was. Definitely one to persevere with, try different conditiobs and let us know how you get on
Brilliant shots. Night-time photos seem to have an aesthetic feel about them. I’d be dead chuffed if I’d taken them.
Hi I was using a mini 4 pro, and as far as i know the max exposure is 8 seconds, The area where the photos where taken from is windy, and at the time i think the wind was about 15mph, I was going to try the haymarket area of edinburgh, but having to find somewhere to park and having to play about with nd filters by taking them on and off the drone, i did not have the motivation to do it. But i think there is room to improve and also i might try during the day near the coast and get some waves, wind depending. But they are uneditied and 2nd attempt, hopefully it may inspire others to give it a go, or might get people thinking out with the normal photos. Thanks
i was impressed with it, i attempted them in peebles, but not enough cars, and with the weather now changing for the worst, i may have to wait a few day, i did read that using nd filters and flying close to objects gives motion blur, might give it a try. Take Care
Great shots, am very impressed. Well done.
