@kvetner - do you happen to know if the manchester airport/Barton red zones go as far as Latchford ?
Its that stretch I am interested in from the swing bridge to the locks.
Best to check for yourself on DroneScene: Where can I fly my drone in the UK? - Drone Scene, although I donāt think thereās anywhere around Latchford thatās beyond 150m from a congested area under the Drone Code anyway.

If youāre interested in Irlam Locks, that can be flown from a footpath on the east side of the Ship Canal from a point just outside the FRZ (and a safe distance from the houses in Irlam), but it would be straightforward to get permission from Barton to fly just inside the FRZ there anyway.
