That looks like Coundon Park, back of the Old Hall or am I way off?

Spot on, you must know it well to recognise that tree

I’d be tempted to use another drone. With a long, Weighted, piece of string with a hook on the end. As long as yours isn’t buried too far in the tree and the hook snags on a branch. The weighted hook means it won’t blow around in any breeze or prop down wash, and makes it easier to guide. The longer the string the better. You should be a able to hook a leg.

yes, but make sure you can remotely release the string, if the hook catches you’re in ‘shit street’

That’s why I suggest a very long piece of string. Long enough so that if it does snag, you can fly to the ground or near enough for either a hand catch or scissors to cut the string if you fly away from the tree and down. You don’t need to fly another drone right on top of the branches, you can fly up to 400ft AGL.

Amazing, good to know of someone that has had success in trying to get one down.

You tube is full of drones being rescued from trees, by varying methods

Feel a business opportunity here

Give me a shout if you need a hand. I’m about 20 mins away

Stupid question. Is the tree not climb-able?

Definitely cutdown-able

Climbable!!! Maybe by Tarzan of the apes, have you seen the size of it?
He’d not only need the fire brigade to rescue his drone, but also himself. I can just see the brigade publicising it all over facetweet.

The bigger they are the stronger the branches and the easier it is to climb! :+1:

Were you never a kid, once?

Climable, potentially. But would absolutely get stuck!

Still no luck today then?

@Mrpolds

Hi Chris,
@notveryprettyboy and I would be prepared to have a crack at getting this out for you. My Mavic is very stable in tripod mode and we would try getting a line on it.
If line snagged and gave the Mavic a problem Karl can chop it with his 250 FPV screamer props.
What do you think?
Do you want us to try?
It would be at your risk, if it fell and got damaged then no come backon us.
We are free tomorrow afternoon or Friday morning at the moment
Cheers
Steve :slightly_smiling_face:

We do have a Plonker badge.

Think having 3 drones stuck in same tree would be more than worthy

There is a page of all the badges to look at.
