Oh crap…must be a head injury then! ![]()
Actually - he’s gone past the hospital. ![]()
In that case he’s RTU.
It’s based at Southampton, these days … and went past that, too.
Possibly a burns job to Salisbury?
Heading that direction.
Is that Odstock hospital?
Close to it.
Shout out to Charlie @Indy-Garden Come on mate…would be great to see you on Monday too! ![]()
Hi @Topscooby, at present, I plan to meet up with you tomorrow. Unfortunately, I don’t know the area. The met, and flyability, could make the drive down from Wokingham pointless, but I would, however, like to meet up. It sounds like fun.
I’ll see you tomorrow:crossed_fingers:
Ian
The Meet Up is planned for Monday…Star Wars Day, NOT Sunday! Please check this before travelling any distance.
May The Fourth be with you ![]()
Thanks, @Topscooby. I am one of those people who plans for the worst-case scenario and starting to prepare for Monday.
Ian
Oops, typo I meant Monday:frowning:
Weather looks a bit more promising at the moment for Monday ![]()
I don’t have a card holder and lanyard yet (unfortunately), but I’ll have one for the next meeting. For now, I only have a Flyer ID and lanyard. I’m still considering insurance and whether it’s too soon to buy a newer drone. I’ll probably have the opportunity to discuss this with you in person at the meeting. ![]()
When you get to the meeting look around at the others. Few, if any will have membership i.d. You’ll just have to work out which real-life name matches the @screen name ![]()
Personal liability insurance is an individual choice. It is not legally compilsory in much the same way as cycle PLI is not mandatory. But it will save your wallet if the unthinkable happens and your drone causes major harm to a bystander or property.
On the insuring against loss or damage side of things - If you are considering buying a newer drone and you buy DJI their care refresh policy is worth having. People who have had problems seem to get good service from DJI.
See you in the park!
OKtoFly is pessimistic - it throws up amber or red sectors fairly often, Opening them up often reveals that the gusts forecast are well within limits - as shown here for tomorrow’s exercise ![]()
