Hi all, well another good meet, thanks to those who came along. It was enjoyable.
When we first got there the wind kept rearing up and I was unsure just if the flying was going to be happening or not. The wind was not as bad as it could have been. @Ian5 was dubious to take the neo up so I took ours up and I think @ian5 made a good decision. The neo held itself but did get a little troubled at times with the wind. I bought it back to land safely.
I am told I should be on a commision. We had a few people come past who were looking at the drones and had a look through the goggles and had a mess around. Both are thinking about drones and both are told about grey arrows. @PhilK brought Pete who is thinking he may step on the drone conveyor belt to the bottom of the pockets. Nice to see all who turned up.
Nice for @sazus to find us. It was worth the wait to meet another friendly person
@Nik469 was tempted to do the Avata Bin run but chose to back off as the wind had come back to tease the drones.
Once again, let us know when you are all home safe. The drone meet is over online but not over till I know everyone is safe.
We have been asked about the next one. We are busy for a few weeks on the weekends so our next planned meet is being set up now for the 26th October.
Once again, thanks to all who joined up. Thanks for @FoleyMrs for going round with a camera as I always forget.

You see a busted rc car and possible evidence of driving like a munter i see a reasonable excuse to go grab a 3d printer and possibly a vacuum form machine off amazon prime day thingy whatsit

It was certainly windy, 17m/s at 20m. Gritted teeth and decided on a couple of quick, very local flights.

It has been flown a few times since, in an effort to put together an entry for the 8 ball challenge.
I wouldn’t even get first place if I was the only entry 
Loving it though, and slowly getting used to goggles.
Is it normal to feel a bit queasy afterwards the first few times, or was that just me?

In all honesty there was a moment where my ass cheeks clenched when the neo decided it was not going to come towards me. Thought I was going to have to dump it to the ground.
They can be very disorientating. When we were there a family showed interest in the avata. I let the son put the goggles on whilst I flew round, before i moved I advised the mother to stand behind him ready as he could become disorientated and may loose balance. He was fine. I personally am not too bad with them but when I tried out my nephews VR headset I did feel sick and dizzy. I guess it is something you get used to. However, the goggles we have, I get on with so that is good.

I would just like to make a point here about the Barr Beacon meet.
We are busy for the next two weeks. However the nights are getting darker, the weather is getting colder and we were asked when the next one was.
Please note. WE WILL NOT BE OFFENDED IF YOU WANT TO SET UP A MEET YOURSELF.
If anyone wants to set up a meet at this location, we do not own Barr Beacon, we do not own the meet, we just set it up.
If anyone wants to create a meet there then please feel free. Only condition is you post photos lol. We may be a distance away and would love to see how it is going on. Pop over to dronescene if you want to create a meet. We look forward to seeing any pictures.
We also want to thank all the people who come to our meets, who post pictures, videos etc. We appreciae each and every person who comes. Grey arrows members are great people and I would not want someone to not create a meet if they thought it was going to offend. Fill ya boots.
Sadly for the next two weeks we are not available to be able to meet up.
