Bollocks to that, I’m just thinking of the money I save
The gate has been open whenever I have been there. It’s the entrance leading to the angling club. That’s just one area where you can park.
The restriction of 2.0m / 6’6" is at the very entrance to the site as you come off Harts Farm Way and that is permanent. There have been problems with travellers in the past.
Just to be perverse the latest Google Earth snap shows the barrier open, going back in time it is always closed.

If you haven’t got your drone yet it will be a good chance to play with some. If you are the proud owner of a new one you will have plenty of help and advice.

Would dearly love to attend this meet up but I will more than likely still be in the land of nod after getting to bed at around 7:30am after finishing my night shift 
If you organise another one, especially on a Saturday, Sunday or Monday (my days off) then I can virtually guarantee my attendance especially as the location is only a fifteen minute drive from my house
