I have built a new Meteor75 pro and took it to the local park for a quick test on Saturday. However the range on the video transmitter was only about 5m with the power cranked up. I was hoping to bring it along today, to show off the build.
I think all my fpv woes are down to the cheap Eachine EV800D box goggles I bought when I was starting, which basically just about work but not very well. I took them to bits yesterday to check if they were fakes, but appear to be genuine. I have managed to fly the volador flyfish 3" around when no other drones are up and running.
I have ordered some after market aerials from menace RC to see if this improves the situation.
Until I get my goggles sorted out there is no point attending any meets as it is impossible foe me to fly fpv safely, with my current setup. If this doesn’t work I will probably switch to hdzero box goggles or fatsharks.
