I’m organising a meetup at Portchester Castle and Portsmouth Harbour :smiley:

This one's on Good Friday!

Portchester Castle, itself, is controlled by English Heritage. Opening hours 10:00 - 17:00, but the main "Large" car park isn't their territory.
Car park is £1.10 per hour between 10:00 and 18:00
No height barrier.
Public toilets open until 20:00

I'll be there from 16:00 .. and do some flying over the park (to the north of the car park), and Portchester/Paulsgrove Lakes .. until EH pack up.
The park is popular - but should be enough space for FPV.

Sunset is 19:41 .. so a good chance to get some "sunsetty" type photos/vids over the castle.
Here's ? for the weather being friendly.

Portsmouth / Fleetlands FRZ is 135m to the west of the castle keep - but leaves enough room.

I’m currently 300 nautical miles east of Sint.Maartin (which is/was a beautiful place, one of my favourite islands in the Caribbean). We are sailing transatlantic to Tenerife then mainland Spain, but will be home in time to make it to this meet up…so looking forward to my first ‘official’ @group-southeast meet up of the year.

I’ll need to get there early if it’s asunny day so as not to get caught in the holiday traffic coming off Hayling. And could i suggest we all bring nets and grappling hooks, maybe a heavylift drone or two just in case @Nik469 comes along and sends his drone swimming again … :slight_smile:
