I’ve been analysing the performance of my Mini 5 Pro batteries from my recent holiday where I flew my drone on 119 flights (over 4 months) using 6 batteries, all were new when I set off.
Using AirData, I saw cell issues on 39% of flights. Three batteries had issues on 29% - 33% whereas one battery had issues on 58% of its flights.
AirData also recorded voltage drops on 31% of flights, again pretty common across all the batteries, ranging from 17% - 38%.
To my eyes there doesn’t appear to be any correlation between cell issues and voltage drops. Often the voltage drops occur on my return flight but the length of flight doesn’t seem to be a factor - nor wind conditions either.
What does this mean? I have absolutely no idea. According to AirData all batteries report a battery life of either 99% or 100%. The cell issues are not severe according to the definition on AirData.
My question is, is what I’m seeing common and does anyone know whether this is the precursor to something more serious or just how batteries behave?

Ian @Scaleber could you share one of the logs from Airdata that show a particular drop?
Do you want the flight record or particular screen grabs from AirData? I don’t have the HD 360 membership so I can’t access any AirData Reports.
I’ve attached two screen grabs. The flight with a lot of voltage issues had zero cell deviations and it was a beautiful, calm day over Mumbles. The Cell Deviations grab was a very windy day and I had to bring the drone down as it was just too windy. I got these cell deviations - amongst the worse I’ve had but although there were voltage issues they were the light blue - drop of 0.1v and only four of them.
Is that what you were after?

Major Deviations ™
Major deviation is when a cell differs more than 0.07v from the other cells.
Please note that normal batteries can have a few of these.
An abnormal battery will:
A) Have most of the major deviations in one cell
B) There will be multiple major deviations per minute, and more than 10 total
C) The deviations continue longer than 1 minute
If your battery shows all symptoms (example, another) then this is considered a more severe case of an inefficient battery and may impact the battery life.
If your battery has only 1-4 instances on the same cell, don’t worry too much about it. If it has 5-10 instances, then continue to track and make sure it does not degrade:
Your deviation was at max 0.11v
I wouldn’t worry about this at all, it’s a 2-cell battery, and you will get a variation
Remember, this is not an expensive drone; the cells will differ, the grade of electronics won’t be top-notch
If it flies ok with no errors on the screen, then enjoy
Thanks SparkyFPV, its pretty much the conclusion I came to but thought I’d ask the question anyway. The Mini 5 Pro is a great drone and flies beautifully. I haven’t ever seen any errors on the screen.
