Minimum safe height over water mini 2

Hi. I live near the Trent and Mersey and Shropshire Union canals. So will be getting some shots over them. What’s the minimum height do you think I should be flying above them? Don’t want it to become a submarine

That high? :no_mouth:

True, canal water is usually very still.

Only mildly choppy on a windy day so I’d go higher then, to avoid splashes.

the thing is if you are around 2 feet above won’t it think you want it to land?

… or … “won’t it think you want to water?” … perhaps?

Does it try and land flying 2 feet over grass ?

Well yes it does

Only if you bring it down, fly a constant speed or hover and it wont

Thanks

Surely, there is no safe height?

If things fail, only the size of the splash changes. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Did someone pull out the plug?

Looks like a whirlpool is forming :scream:

Surely 100 ft is a lot safer than 2ft :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

If things fail, you can watch it falling for longer. :+1:

Oh! I don’t know if I dare :joy::cry:

Generally I would keep 2m above the surface of the water at least - higher if new - all depends on whether your flying VLOS or via Screen.

Thanks Ian

Depends on the conditions how low you go.
