Railway bridge going over Moncrieffe Island. The island hosts a number of allotments, but more famously, the only golf course situated on a river island in the UK. The course is called King James for anyone interested.
God, modern trains are ugly! I like the composition nevertheless.
Thanks @FlyByMe
Unfortunately it was the only train available at the time would be lovely with a steam train going over it though
You make do with what you have The placement of the train at the first half of its crossing is perfect.
The train was acually travelling from right to left, but I let it get to that point to create the illusion it was going the right way. The camera never lies eh?
Probably the only benefit with these modern ones
Great image and you managed to miss getting the Friarton Bridge in the shot!
Well, the Friarton Bridge is a little ways away so it wasn’t too difficult. Its actually a subject I have in mind for the future, got to be one of the best city views? Coming into Perth over the Friarton, always makes my heart sing when I’m coming home from a week away from the family. You obviously know the area, where do you hail from @cgdtaylor
Nice composition
Yes, the Friarton Bridge would be a good project indeed.
I am outside Dundee and, when we came back from holidays down south, it was always a welcome sight to see the ‘aerial’ vista of Perth from the bridge.
I look forward to further of your images; great flying!
Used to get that train to work when the High Court was sitting in Perth.
