They have already updated their post with a correction. What amused me is the pile-on they got from assorted dronies, several of whom also misunderstand the law e.g. they believe it’s always legal to fly over buildings so long as you maintain a 50m clearance. That’s compliant with the ANO, but there’s more to the law than that.

I think their intention was good. There are many thefts from rural properties (I speak from experience) and casing the site with a “harmless” overflight is one of the tolls in the thieves’ toolbox.
