New firmware settings and presets, guides?

Worth adding that both the standard and UAV Tech 7" settings cause my TBS Source One 7" go into crazy flyaway, but I think that’s more a reflection of my quad than those settings. The UAV Tech settings have worked well on all my other quads though, from tinywhoop, through cinewhoop, 3" up to 5" freestyle.

I spent an hour or so trying to tune my 7" at lunchtime today. I managed about 10 flights of around 30-40 seconds each, moving left/right/back/forwards in my garden, making small changes each time, capturing the logs and analysing in PIDToolbox. There’s quite a bit mroe detail in my 7" build thread:

My PID settings themselves aren’t so much the problem. For some reason my frame has a huge amount of vibration in the 80-100hz range, which causes the PIDs (D-term in particular) to go into a massive spaz. The solution to getting mine to handle nice is all in the filter settings - gyro notch filters, rpm filters and d-term filters to essentially ignore a lot of that vibration. Lots of tweaking of those seems to solve thd problem. When I say solve, the PID controller calms down and the quad responds nicely. However, the frame itself still seems to be vibrating, which then leads to less than ideal HD capture footage. Maybe one day I should try a new frame.
