I am an german who live in Germany. Since many years I fly with drones there. Actualiy I stay for a few weeks in London and have my DJI Mini 4 pro with me. I aplied for a operator ID an flyer ID (and got this).
I know and see, London is a difficult place to fly. But I try to find out what is possible. And now I found dronescene and greyarro.ws and I read some articles and posts who sounds like it’s possible to fly inside London.
So I booked the silver-membership to get all funktions of the dronescene-App.
But now I am light overhelmed There are many points marked whrere some of you flown. I am not sure weather it means that to fly on this places not strictly prohibited but without special permit still not allowed???
Can you give me some tips and informations what is ok to do?
For example, there is marked a place east from the towerbridge. The app shows for this place CTR, EGR160 and class D restricted area and “other riscs”.
I dont’t think that I allowed to fly there. But I’am not sure. Some says, EGR160 is only interested for Helicopters, other writs that its for drones too.
Or other example: somewhere i read there can fly in Greenwich Park, but first, this is CTR too. And for second, on other sites i read the park prohibite to fly/start there.
So, actualiy I don’t know what I can do and what I should not to do.
Maybe you can help me an say something to my both examples.

What it won’t tell you in the plethora of TDA’s appearing across London presently. Flyers need to do their own homework on that and seek the permissions.
