Hi there. I’m struggling to find a place to fly near me that’s not going to invoke a torrent of abuse by ill informed spectators. Are there any members around me that know of any “friendly” locations? Maybe we could meet up. TIA.

Hi Jeff. Also in Tamworth
Borrowpit Lake is good. Park at Strikers and walk towards the A5 but don’t go under it as that is a wildlife reserve but flying around the lake is cool and great shots of Ventura and the snowdome to be had. Just watch out for walkers and fishing in the lake.
There is also a big field down from the gocart track near Alvecote that I have flown around - some fab trees and great sunset shots to be had here. Just don’t walk on the field if you can help it but on the edge your fine. Also watch out for the trees along the road as I did land my mini in one a few weeks back but a local tree surgeon got it out for me no issue haha
