Hi Folks
I purchased a used DJI Mini pro 3 from a youtube content creator over a year ago. Researched what i needed and got Flier ID and operators ID plus insurance.
Health took a turn and only really got back into practise flights a few days ago.
I ride a disabilty trike these days and tootle along the pennine trail taking shots with my digital camera.
Drone would add another dimension to my feeble efforts.
It appears the Drone i purchased was well used as batteries are all in need of replacing, Even rc control batteries.
After looking at what is involved to replace batteries in controller looks like another controller is my best option.
Should have gone with a new drone the more i think about it.

Well… Cheaper, second hand often appears to be a good deal “at the time”

i can only get about 5 mins flight time with the drone fitted with fully charged brand new battery fitted. Drone gets very hot is that normal ?

Hey Harrison, welcome to GADC.
Pity you hadn’t found this place sooner, there is always good second hand kit for sale in here, often at better prices than ebay, plus most of the guys in here tend to really look after their kit so you know what you’re buying is fit for purpose. Plus you would have found out what to look for, like checking battery cycle count, making sure it’s been unbound etc.
Be careful using it if it gets hot, the batteries can be pretty dangerous if damaged. Not trying to scare you, but things can get nasty pretty quick with these things. When you say “hot”, how hot do you mean?

just hot to the touch after a 5 min flight. Flight time is around 5 mins as well with brand new battery which is a downer .
Thought i could trust the fella i purchased from- big mistake.
