New to drones Southport

Hi just bout my first drone and find out “can’t” fly on any of Sefton beach I live in Southport looking for ideas.

Thanks according to this I can fly on Southport beach so do we follow this and not what’s on the council website

Ignore the council.

You’ll find lots of ‘authorities’ have ‘rules’ on their websites. The fact is, they don’t control airspace.

The National Trust are a good example of this. As long as you take off/land (TOAL) away from property/land they control, and maintain the correct separations, there is nothing to stop you legally flying over their property.

Have a look on YouTube at either IanInLondon or GeeksVana… you’ll find videos on their channels that you might find useful.

No problems, but be aware that flying a drone is classed as recreation and that this particular activity falls foul of current national lockdown rules for England.

Mav 2 pro bloody lockdown that’s not good am only a short walk from the beach maybe 10 mins still wouldn’t be allowed would I technically.

How busy does the beach get at the back of Birkdale/Pontins?

Not sure but ur getting close to the airfield is like on the border shame that

No restrictions (in more normal times)

I can’t thank this group enough for a new starter the help I have received is unbelievable, can’t wait for more normal times and maybe we can meet up as I know I could do with some help

Thanks Ned I will be one of the lucky ones hopefully this year able to travel Europe due to my job role and I thought why not go all out

Great idea. Do bear in mind that the rules vary by country though, and some of them require registration before you can fly.

There’s a few websites that detail int’l requirements, however I’m not sure which one is the most reliable.
