Night Flight test

Took advantage of some nice still air one recent evening and grabbed some shots of my local town centre. First time flying at night for me. The Mavic handled the light well but it did have some initial problems with focusing-was in and out of focus for a while before finally settling down and locking…Tapping the autofocus/maunal focus button didn’t seem to have much effect, in the end I only managed to keep focus long enough for these two shots. Video was out of the question, the results were rubbish…!) Is this a common thing with night photography, or was I missing some vital setting?!
I’d like to do more night time flying but not if it’s always going to be hit and miss!

Cheers
Gary

Not an expert but I think it needs to be manual exposure and manual focus (probably infinity) for successful night photography
