Nighttime shot of Birmingham

Good evening all, my first attempt at night-time photography, looking up the A38 into central Birmingham. Apols, but I don’t have the settings to hand, not yet anyway.

Be gentle!

Finally worked out how to get the details!

ISO 2,120, 0.4s shutter, f:2.8 Focal length 24mm

ah, cool. You can get some nice stuff playing around with long exposures.

Finally got round to having another go, trying pretty much every shutter speed above 1 second, here’s my favourite. Proof that some Birmingham drivers DO indicate

ISO 100, EV -0.7, F:2.8, 5 second exposure, for them what wants to know…

I’d love to catch a police pursuit up the same road, but the timing could be a little tricky…

It could be … arranged? :smiling_imp: :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I work in the police control room at the bottom right, I’d know if one was coming, but it’d be rude to go take my break when things got exciting all of a sudden. Shame…I’ve watched a few live on downlinked helicopter video, which is fun…
