I hope people are making some use of this before the weekend’s wind means we’ll all wake up at the north pole on Monday.
I see the met office have issued amber alerts for snow and ice in the north on both Saturday and Sunday.

Goodish WX today, so had a fly down to Popham in me little aeroplane, no Drone and no Pics I’m afraid but I did enjoy the view.
Strangely enough when I arrived and made my brisk way to the gents (it was cold and my plane is drafty/draughty?) there was a big sign next to the toilets advertising Drone training…everbody’s at it

Well - no surprise there - the forecasters changed their minds …
Wind not too bad …
But the weather ain’t so good … though “mist”/“fog” has some potential for fun, other than height to get above it might find it being too windy. 
HOWEVER!!!

Phew that could have been me…
In other, non-Gatwick, related news …. despite today being the winter solstice, the evenings have already been staying lighter until later for several days … even if the mornings have been staying darker until slightly more (!?) later … and will for a few more days.
Blame earth wobble/asymmetry for that!

Just bought myself a Tello so i can fly indoors or around the studio when i am at work thought it might take away the weather blues of not being able to get out

I’m in Fuerteventura at the moment - a couple of days back somebody posted some images from here on one of the DJI FB Pages. I commented that it was far too windy for me to even think about putting my MP into the air.
He replied that he had actually lost control of his Mavic, crashed into some rocks, & the thing ended up in the sea - however he was able to recover it, so he was confident that it would be alright once it had dried out!
I just thought “what a moron, trying to fly in winds that strong - just be thankful that when you lost control you crashed into rocks, & not into a young child in a buggy!!”
We’re getting enough bad press at the moment without people like him potentially giving the Griefers & Haters even more ammunition.
