Non-Standard Battery

Yes, they’re logged but DJI have to prove that it was the non original battery that caused the fault / failure. They can’t just walk away and wash their hands - there’s plenty of legislation in place to stop them doing that!

You reckon? I know of a recent case where they blamed the sudden end of flight on an “error message”.
They never managed to explain why the previous 16 occurrences of the same message, that didn’t have the same effect, didn’t devalue their accusation on the one, final instance.

“Law unto themselves” springs to mind.

Even the retailers are shying away from their responsibilities and taking taking DJI’s word as gospal.

I’m pretty sure that if they say that a battery (or anything else) caused the problem, they would have to provide proof in order to deny the claim. In the case of sudden power loss, it could also be a problem with the terminals or the battery jumping out because the user didn’t lock it down etc etc. It could, of course, be a faulty battery!
I’m not saying that they’re the bad guys but if no one challenges what they say occasionally, they’ll always get away with this crap.
Same stuff used to go on in the motor industry with 3rd party components (your Halfords battery caused the gearbox to fail etc) until someone took them to court and won.

… So who makes them ?

Are they any good ?

@opochka I’ve moved your post over to the existing thread on this subject mate :+1:t2:

On this, i see lots of ads for ‘refurbished’ batteries, i assume thats a crock of shite, and shouldn’t be going near anything other than new ones?
