That’s the 3 professional drones they stated in their letter. 
if one police station has three professional drones think they need prioritise better.
Doesn’t actually say the drones are theirs but I’m just adding my 2 pennies worth

As has been said before, better to seek forgiveness than ask permission. In this case it’s just a warning so no real harm done. I remember a few years back reading a photography book which included a photo of the Golden Gate Bridge. The photographer had been fined for parking near the end of the bridge to get the shot (this was pre-drone era). He recouped the cost of the fine many times over with sales of the photo. Like everything else you weigh up the pros and cons then make the decision, and ultimately take responsibility for/ suffer consequences of that decision. The redacted ‘Recipient’s response’ made me smile, looks to have been short and to the point, though I’m guessing it was probably ‘Yes officer’ rather than ‘Eff off’.
I am amazed that the police posted it with the person’s postcode showing.
I guess the police cameras flying spent their time filming other drones - and probably did it quite deliberately. Maybe a good reason to have the operator ID in the battery compartment

Their statement about Category D Airspace could be considered as somewhat misleading couldn’t it? Not the whole story.

Category D Airspace
The most common controlled airspace zone that will affect where a pilot is allowed to fly their UAV is category D. If the flight involves this airspace, then the pilot must apply ahead of time for special permissions to fly if their drone is in the 7-20 kg category. If your drone pilot is flying a drone that weighs under 7kg then these permissions aren’t necessary (the rules governing safe flight at all times still apply of course). Your pilot will be able to advise you the crafts they have in their fleet and what they would plan on using.

Unfortunately the police are very good at thinking their opinions are facts and very poor at listening to other peoples facts which prove their opinions were wrong.

It’s also worth noting that CAP 722 was updated in November this year and now says:

Whilst permission is not required for VLOS flights below 400ft within controlled airspace (if outside an FRZ, and in compliance with the other applicable requirements of the Open category or the operational authorisation), there are still a number of considerations that must be taken into account when operating in such areas.
Major airports exert a significant influence over the characteristics of the overall airspace structure and often require that any pilots operating at low-level under VFR adhere to notified routes and procedures to avoid traffic conflict. This is particularly true of VFR helicopter flights in and around London, which are often under active control and confined to a route-structure with changing altitude limitations. Information on such low- level VFR helicopter route structures is provided in the Aeronautical Information Publication (AIP) and portrayed on Helicopter Route VFR charts, for example the London Control Zone chart (Scale 1: 50,000, Series GSGS 5542). Operators are strongly advised to have a current copy of these charts when operating nearby.
On YouTube there are two drone vids from professional companies and the police one, so I guess there are your three professional ones… also one other… which I guess is the culprit, mind he got 6.5K views… worth doing… ha-ha… as he has more than 1K he may be offered cash for advertising if wanted, then he would be in proper trouble…
