I am not sure they were over a mile away from were I launched never got really up close…

Above the river’s sheer cliffs are the weathered façades of Lycian tombs cut from rock, circa 400 BC. The ruins of the ancient trading city of Kaunos are a short boat trip across the river.[1]

WTF? 400BC? Seriously?

Blimey, that was more than a few weeks ago eh?

I have been reading about Kaunos, it turns out it was built up there by the Romans because it was said that the villages below where being decimated by plagues of rats spreading disease that was killing the locals, so the Romans would only let sertain inderviduals from the villages come up to Kaunos because of the fear of contracting the spreading disease, but they still got infected because it turns out it was the plague, typhoid etc not the rats…
