Pano-Mania #1 - (aka The Great Pano Thread)

Here’s one I took earlier … in the year.

Let’s give this a try  the stitching was done in the Go4 app

Looking at that, I reckon there’s a good chance of a better stitch in ICE. Good luck!

This was my first so I didn’t set it to save the unstitched images. Next time though

The 34 unstitched images should be on the SD-card, tho.

… and, for Go4 to have stitched the panorama, they will be on your device, too … tho not full res.
They’ll be in DJI/dji.go.v4/CACHE_IMAGE/panorama_xxxxsillylongstringofcharacters/

Oh - and congratulations on posting your first Pano … using Kuula, too! :+1:

I guess this is one downside of running old firmware and old GO4 apps… no pano options…

Still not got round to getting Litchi to take them yet!

Or just try taking a lot of pics manually.
Actually - I mentioned this idea a while back … and should try it myself.

Edit: I wish the heading could display as a digital value in Go4.

It might have been bit the cache was full before taking the pano and it wasn’t set to clear it… then I formatted the SD card ready for the next outing  Next time though

I copy EVERYTHING from the SD-Card to my laptop … just in case.

Whilst there’s a whole load of things to like about Kuula … I’m not certain their ability to count the number of views an image has had would sustain any auditing. :stuck_out_tongue:

OK - Finally got around to trying a totally manual 360 Panorama.

25 images.
1 straight down.
8 each at 45/0/-30
Manual exposure

I switched Go4 to map mode to guess the panning angles … starting off pointing due North.
After each set, I obviously had to switch to FPV mode to adjust the camera pitch.

Another time, I will try better vertical overlap by doing the one straight down (90), then 8 at each of 50/10-30.

Overall I’m really pleased with the first attempt.

Downside? It’s slow to do.

Incidentally, I used a shot 90deg to the sun, with 25% sky / 75% ground to base the manual exposure.

Wow, that’s incredible!

First one I’ve seen like that. The chimney and cooling towers look almost 3d.

It’s certainly making me think about where I could create similar.
Up sun of tall white structures. Hmm. Taj Mahal? :stuck_out_tongue:
