PFCO GVC Conversion

Hi There,

Just wondered if anybody has recently done their GVC conversion. I have the theory exam booked for a week or so. I was just wondering how challenging it would be, I have run through the course, which was before Christmas now so I may need to revisit if the exam is challenging. Course with 3IC.

Thanks

I’ve got my GVC exam on the 12th of next month with UAVHUB, and the mock exam (read the real exam) is quite simple if you’ve followed all of the lessons. I don’t know about the 3iC exam, if it’s anything like the PfCO I did with them last year, it was abysmal, poorly laid out and badly delivered.
Good luck anyway!

John

@flyingproductions I’m not sure if there’s a specific question in your post or not.

These existing topics may be worth a read though.

Just to close this one out, I have now completed the PFCO-GVC conversion with 3IC. The process was very interesting and the guys at 3IC were fab. The test was quite challenging, as it should be, but all went well.

Passed the GVC with UAVHUB yesterday 100%, bring on the practical (when we can do it, obviously)!

Hi so I have just signed up for the PfCO to GVC conversion course with 3iC, anyone here done it?

Moved your post to this thread … since someone has done this with 3iC. :+1:

Thank you

Just did the GVC theory and failed by one mark! So annoyed at myself

I completed the PFCO course with 3iC and was ready to do the flight test just as the virus took hold and they closed down “until further notice”. When they eventually went back to work, I was told that my course had finished and I would have to do it again for another 400 quid! Not going to happen!
Their course was the worst training I’d ever had, the material was poor at best and the video/audio components sounded like they’d been done on the kitchen table at tea time with the kids. There were dogs barking in the background, half of the material had been lifted off other sites (mainly American) and the whole course was very un professional from start to finish!
I eventually went to UAVHUB, did the A2CoC, then the GVC, was cheaper than 3iC, the material was absolutely brilliant, you could take the mock test as many times as you wanted and the whole thing was very professional from start to end. I got 100% on each of the online exams and passed the flight test first time. I haven’t heard of anybody failing with UAVHUB and most people on here that have done their courses with them have passed with high 90’s or 100%.
