Phantom 4 GL300C battery charge problems

Well, bought a Phanjtom 4 off eBay advertised as ‘perfect’ and whilst cosmetically it most certainly was unblemished, the remote control when powered up immediately flashed red LED and beeped continuously copmplaining of low voltage. Tried recharging, got the fisrt LED solid second LED flashing scenario.

Contacted seller who to be honest couldn’t give a toss, shame really, first eBayer I’ve met with an atitude like that.

Searched about and decided it was either the Gas Gauge IC or associated circuitry that needed re-flowing or replacing, and as I don’t have any surface mount equipment decided to get it repaired. There are a few businesses advertising on line offering GL300C repairs but I plumped for AB Repair (www.phantomrepair.co.uk/) who’s site stated -

Sixty pound all in and they had it back to me the day after they received it!

I love to tell people when I find a really excellent service - and AB Repair (www.phantomrepair.co.uk) and Scott really are excellent!

You bet, been out all afternoon :+1:

Jealous
Where did you get to, anywhere good?

I had to go to Telford this afternoon so I thought I’d take some video of Wrekin Motocross track while I was in the vicinity.
I’d done all my flight planning, checked for no-fly zones and the latest NOTAMS – all good and I was raring to go…
Got there and the lane leading to it was blocked by a padlocked gate covered in dire warnings against trespassers. Doh! :sob:

Met up with some chaps north of Wrexham then stopped off and got some video of Ash church on the way home - enjoyed that.
Probably get out today if it’s dry.

Excellent news @rangioran and also an excellent recommendation!

I always take far more value in recommendations from places like this than I do from places like not-so-Trust(worthy)Pilot and other reviews.

Thanks for spreading the word :+1:

great to hear that these guys are the dogs - do - dahs in repairs.
Always good to have someone who has had personal experience of repair centres.
And does sound also that they are respectfully priced . unlike some I have seen!
