Portable power station recommendations

Is something like the Jackery 1000 really expensive?

Some thoughts

  • Jackery 1000 can be £750 on a good day.
110AH Leisure battery - £100, 2kw pure sine inverter (as there is in the Jackery 1000 - not needed for charging drones, obviously, but it’s there for other uses) - £200 … and a decent 12v to USB charger, another £50-ish - so already a good part of the way there…
  • 1000WH is what you get - every time, with these modern portable power stations. With a leisure battery, depending on what you’re running from it, and the voltage gradually fading, at some unpredictable point things may not work meaning that not all that 110AH power may actually be available to you. - you may only get 50AH out of it.
  • USB, 12V and 250v pure sine - is EXACTLY what you actually get … from 100% charge to 1% charge. Clever tech in those Jackery! … and similar.
  • 12V sockets are (on the Jackery) in fact higher than the nominal 12V stated - meaning that my MP car charger works a treat - as will others that normally need the engine running.
  • Jackery 1000 - 10kg. 110AH leisure battery 24kg.

So - in essence - way more usable power, far less weight, one single, more portable, item.

Wins for me.
