I was filming the other day and, when editing, noticed the prop visible on the right hand side of the frame. It appeared twice as the gimbal faced at 90 degrees down and then no more. Has anyone else experienced this and maybe offer a reason why it does that?
If the gimbal is 90° down, how can a prop appear in the picture? The props are mounted above the gimbal, even when it’s in its normal 0° orientation… …so if the camera is facing down will be looking facing away from the props, even if the aircraft has rolled to adjust for wind, or as a result of flight inputs, etc.
Also, unless you’ve replaced them, your prop tips should be yellow?
It looks like something else to me - probably the antenna mounting leg, which could enter the frame if it aircraft had rolled enough.
.. in a strong wind situation, perhaps.
Exactly
Happens on my Mini 3 in high winds or sharp movements left or right with the camera at 90
Happened to me once when I forgot I was still in spotlight mode and tried to fly away from the thing I was tracking. ![]()

Makes total sense!
That would seem to be likely, but what is it? Maybe something to do with ISP
I’m glad I’m not alone ![]()

Okay, I might have exaggerated the roll angle, but you get the idea. It’s the only likely explanation.
Yes. It was dark and I was sleepy ![]()
